11 October 2026Church leaders and members from Upper and Lower Kadavu gathered at Solotavui Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kavala Bay yesterday, 10 October 2026, for a combined program focused on strengthening families, nurturing new believers and advancing the mission of the Church.
Fiji Mission Ministerial Secretary Pr. Leone Tubuna, accompanied by his wife, was present for the gathering, which brought together pastors, church elders and members from across Kadavu.
The program featured five major ministry activities:
1. Student Dedication – Praying for students and committing their education and future into God’s hands.
2. Child Dedication – Bringing children before God in prayer and encouraging parents in their responsibility to raise them in faith.
3. Fiji Mission Strategic Plan Consultation – Engaging church leaders and members in discussions on the Mission’s strategic direction and priorities.
4. Fiji for Christ Nurturing Materials – Presenting and distributing discipleship resources to support the spiritual growth of new believers following the Fiji for Christ evangelistic campaign.
5. OneVoice27 Launch – Introducing the initiative and encouraging churches to participate in sharing the life, message and saving grace of Jesus Christ throughout 2027.
The combined gathering provided an opportunity for church leaders from different parts of Kadavu to strengthen fellowship, discuss ministry priorities and renew their commitment to reaching communities with the Gospel.
The presentation of nurturing materials was particularly significant as churches continue their responsibility to support those who have recently accepted Jesus Christ through baptism.
The launch of OneVoice27 also encouraged members to recognise their individual roles in sharing the Gospel, reminding the Church that every member has a voice and a part to play in God’s mission.
